I never thought that having a blog would be something that I would enjoy but I have to say it is very interesting. I think it's a great communication tool for enhancing what we learned in class during this semester and should definitely continue to be a component of this class in the future. In fact, it could probably be integrated into any school cirriculum and I think more professors should incorporate it into their teaching plans.
Yes, the blog gave us a chance to share our thoughts and ideas with everyone in the class. It was a refreshing way to meet new people and learn who they are because after reading each person's blog I was able to get a snapshot of each person's lives. For me personally, I was able to get a bigger picture of the meaning of Management because the assignments helped me to understand what it is through my own experiences. At the same time I feel the blog helps to improve upon our writing skills which is always helpful for me.

I too agree that the blog should remain a part of the course and even though we never really meet or talk to the people in class that we do online, it feels like, in a non freakish way, that we know each other. You can tell by the way people write the way they are and a lot of us have stuck with a few blogs that we always seem to go back to and read. The blogs are a good way for us to get our thoughts out and process the lessons that we are being taught in class. Writing while comprehending and actually taking in and understanding what is being written about helps us to learn and the blogs provide us that opportunity.
Good point about professors incorporating the blog into their teaching plans. Did anyone ever notice that our blackboard has such a tool built into it, yet, it is hardly ever utilized (this tool has been utilized by just one professor from all of my classes)? Many times there are students with theoretical questions which may not be on the exam, but, the answers are important to know once we reach our intended profession. Blogs are great for such discussions.
Concur! Professors these days should incorporated blogging in their teaching lessons. It’s not just easy for professors to know the students but students can get along with other students faster and closer. By reading the blogs, we could understand where they come from, why they have such view, and much more. I also agree with what Objectivous Independecus said. Blackboard does have such a feature in it. I remember one of my psychology professors made that feature available for that class and we spammed it like a chat room. I think Prof. Kurpis should make this feature available for students especially this class is so interactive.
You mention that the blog helps to improve writing skills. It's so true! I learned a great deal about responding to different kinds of people and to relate to their postings. It's a great way to practice how to connect to a variety of personalities.
I have to post blogs for another class, 2 per week! If I would have to do it for every class, I'd be a bit stressed out. I don't really enjoy sitting in front of the computer for too long...But I agree, more teachers should encourage blogging.
Agreed, this blog was a very helpful assignment, which allowed us to communicate with each other. We also see others different style of writing and how one thinks. This was a great opportunity to get to know one another and start networking.
